  • Little Rock, AR – The Women’s Inpatient Unit at the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI), known as the 5-North Unit

    This unique women’s inpatient unit is tailored to meet the needs of patients with acute mental illness with a focus on women who are pregnant or postpartum. The only one of its kind in Arkansas, the 10-bed unit was developed to treat conditions such as severe depression and anxiety that have been triggered by events such as trauma, pregnancy and life transitions.     The unit offers general acute care mental health services, with a focus on perinatal mental health conditions.     Baton Rouge, LA – The Perinatal Mental Health Unit (PMHU) at Woman’s Hospital

    The Perinatal Mental Health Unit (PMHU) at Woman's Hospital provide comprehensive treatment for women facing various psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient treatment during pregnancy, through one year postpartum, and those who have experienced a loss within the last year. The PMHU is Louisiana's first inpatient mental health unit solely dedicated to perinatal patients. Call 225/214-6133

    Glen Oaks, NY – Northwell Health Perinatal Psychiatry Service

    Women experiencing severe symptoms of psychiatric illness can receive treatment in our state-of-the-art 22-bed women’s unit—the first in New York and one of only a few units in the U.S. to specialize in perinatal psychiatric illness.     Chapel Hill, NC – UNC Perinatal Psych Inpatient Unit

    The PPIU was established in June 2011 and is the first of its kind in the United States. This psychiatric unit includes 5 patient beds (private and semi-private) dedicated to women who are pregnant or postpartum and in need of an inpatient level of psychiatric care.   • The Mother-Baby Day Hospital Partial Hospitalization Program- Minneapolis

    A Partial Hospitalization Program (group based and short-term) for individuals during pregnancy and parenting of children ages 0-5 years, who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or other emotional distress. Nursery attached to group room where babies can sleep, if needed. Call 612-873-MAMA

    The Mother-Baby Perinatal Outpatient Program (POP)

    Like the Mother-Baby Day Hospital, serves pregnant individuals and mothers of children ages 0-5 years old who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or other emotional distress. POP meets 90 minutes per day, 3 days per week, virtually. Call 612-873-MAMA

    Sagent Behavioral Health Mother-Baby Program

    Our Mother Baby Program will address the variety of changes that motherhood can bring by providing a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere where mothers will learn strategies for coping with postpartum depression and anxiety, develop skills to help them bond with their child/children, and learn ways to handle stressful situations. We offer high and low intensity group options. Our high-intensity group meets in-person or virtually for 3 hours a day, 4 days a week and our low-intensity group meets virtually for 60 minutes, twice per week. In-person locations: Baxter, Sartell, Eden Prairie, Fargo & Otsego

    PrairieCare Perinatal & Maternal Mental Health Program

    Our Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program incorporates a variety of services and modalities to support and empower pregnant and postpartum women with children ages 0-5. We also offer an Aftercare Program for patients who have completed the IOP, offered Tuesdays from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. Individual therapy and psychiatric care with a reproductive psychiatrist available. Currently, all Perinatal Services are offered via telehealth.     The Amazing Grace Home is a residential program, with a family atmosphere, which provides pregnant women with opportunities to move towards stability and self-sufficiency.     Philomena House - Roseville

    Philomena House is a temporary haven for homeless, pregnant women. The Philomena House provides a safe, loving home for pregnant, homeless mothers, allowing them to choose life.     Esther Homes- St. Paul

    ESTHER Homes is a maternity housing program for pregnant women experiencing crisis. Each family is provided their own private room, access to shared community spaces and live-in staff support. During their time at ESTHER, women work toward long-term stability—work experience, furthering their education, saving money, growing in their role as mothers and preparing for sustainable housing.     Bridge for Youth- Gloria's Place (Minneapolis)

    Gloria’s Place is the only emergency shelter in the state of Minnesota specifically for unaccompanied, pregnant or parenting youth (ages 15-17) and their children (ages 0-3).     At Enkrateia House of Hope, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to pregnant women facing homelessness or crisis situations. Our confidential services are designed to empower and uplift expectant mothers, fostering independence and hope for the future. We offer a compassionate, faith-centered Shepherd Home for pregnant mothers aged 18 and older to reside during their pregnancy and after childbirth.     Becoming Program- Carver, Scott, or Western Hennepin county, ages 12-26

    A Home Visiting Program for Pregnant and Parenting Teens and Young Adults. The Becoming Program provides young women resources and information on how to stay healthy throughout a pregnancy and prepare for parenting or adoption. This program is available for individuals ages 12-26 who live in Carver, Scott, or Western Hennepin county and is a free program offered by myHealth.     MN Indian Women's Resource Center

    Family Spirit is the largest, most rigorous, and only evidence-based early childhood home visiting program designed specifically for American Indian communities. The Life Skills Parenting Program (LSP) and Family Support Program (FSP) are innovative partnerships with Hennepin County that improve outcomes for Native families by providing family counseling, parenting support, life skills training, appropriate referrals, and education in child development and cultural values.
