  • Blooma New Mom Group (FREE)

    For all mothers with babies 1 day to 12 months old. Connect with each other, ask questions, share advice, laugh, cry, and talk about life with a new baby. Occasionally, we bring in a guest speaker to offer insight into popular parenting topics. Babies are always welcome, and groups are led to accommodate all parenting styles. Start anytime, and come as many times as you like! Offered weekly in studio. Schedule available on website.

    New/Prospective Parenting

    Welcoming 2SLGBTQIA+ and polyamorous individuals and families at any stage in family-building, from thinking about the possibility of children, through trying to conceive and pregnancy, to postpartum/newborn life and the early years of parenting. -Most Second Saturdays at 10:30am Central.     Mamas in Motion with i.am.me

    Join us for a FREE supportive and restorative yoga series designed for pregnant individuals and new parents (up to 12 months postpartum). Led by experienced yoga instructor Diceyiana Tejeda, this class focuses on improving physical strength, flexibility, and endurance for childbirth while also reducing stress and anxiety. Yoga can also help foster a deeper bond with your baby in utero. Every Wednesday | 11:30am–12:30pm, Dance Studio (Lower Level, Room 33), Sabathani Community Center. Registration required on website. Mats, blankets, water bottles, and protein bars will be provided. This class prioritizes at-risk Black individuals but is open to any pregnant person or new parent within 12 months postpartum.

    St. David's Sensitive Parenting Support Home Visiting (Hennepin & Scott Co)

    Our Sensitive Parenting Support offers personalized, home-based support for pregnant individuals and caregivers with a mental health diagnosis who are parenting (or preparing to parent) a child under age 4.   • Club Mom

    A monthly community health gathering for African American mothers parenting children birth to five years old. Must be at least 18 years of age. The group is led by Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health staff. As a member of the group, you will have the opportunity to connect with one another, enjoy dinner and participate in helpful guest speaker presentations. Childcare is provided during the presentation hour so that you can focus on learning about various topics. Fourth Monday of each month. 5 - 7 p.m. Learn more by calling 612-772-2588 or 612-368-4453.

    Family Home Visiting- Ramsey Co

    Family home visiting is dedicated to the well-being of pregnant women, fathers and families with young children. Our home visiting services, and other programs, help families raise healthy children who are ready to succeed in school and in life. The staff are highly skilled and experienced in supporting families like yours. We respect all cultural backgrounds. We will support your relationship with your children and connect you with resources based on your family’s specific needs. Home Visits are available in person with an option for virtual or phone visits when needed. Clients should call the Family Health Intake line at 651-266-1568 with questions.

  • Amma Parenting

    New parent classes including those for parents, grandparents, specific topics such as breastfeeding and infant CPR as well as birth preparation. Locations in Edina, Roseville and Plymouth.

    Newborn Baby Talk, Northfield, MN

    FREE classes for parents with babies 0-12 weeks. Care for older siblings is always available & free. Join other new parents to share the joys and challenges of the new human in your life. Class is co-lead by a teacher, nurse, and lactation specialist to answer all your questions about sleep, feeding, family changes, and development. You can also weigh your baby. Every Wednesday, 10:00-11:30am (except public holidays). Northfield Community Education Center, 700 Lincoln Parkway. Enter Door #1 & follow orange signs. Just show up- no registration necessary.     New Moms Network Group, Northfield, MN

    The group meets for six weeks, usually for an hour and a half on a weekday evening. Since the groups are facilitated by new moms, each group arranges its own specific timing. Each week focuses on a different topic that relates to transitions new mothers experience. However, conversations will often diverge from the scheduled topic; the group is designed to focus on what the members want or need that week.   • AFE Foundation: Survivors of Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE) Support Group

    This group is specifically for survivors of amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) and is administered by the AFE Foundation, a non-profit advocacy organization based in the United States.

    Birth & Trauma Support Group

    This is a group was created by Dancy Perinatal for those who experienced a traumatic birth as the birthing person. It is a lay person support group, meant to encourage, share resources and offer peer support. Primarily we are members from the United States but open to others who feel they may benefit.

    Hand to Hold High Risk pregnancy Support Group

    The High-Risk Pregnancy Support Group is a group for moms and mothers-to-be who may have increased health risks during pregnancy. Register online, times offered may vary.

    Maternal Near-Miss Survivors Support Group

    This support group is specifically for Maternal Near-Miss Survivors. A maternal near miss is an event where a woman nearly dies due to pregnancy or childbirth related complications. The events are often unexpected and may leave the survivor feeling isolated and alone. This is a safe place where survivors find comfort and offer support as we journey toward healing together. #maternalNearMiss #mnmSurvivor. Has 1.4K particpants.

    Mother Support Group

    New/Prospective Parenting Group

    Community group for new and prospective parents in the 2SLGBTQ+ and polyamorous community. This is a safe place to share your joys, struggles, and questions, to offer support and to be supported. Gestational and non-gestational parents welcome to join Queer Birth on the second Saturday of each month.

    PPSM Facebook Support Group

    Minnesota residents only. This closed group is for pregnant people, expectant parents, and new parents to offer peer support, ask questions, and connect with others who are struggling. The group is closed to maintain privacy, to ensure a safe space for members of the group.

    New Mom Group (Free)

    Pregnancy Centering Group

    This 6-week, in-person workshop is crafted to hold a powerful, intentional, and safe space for mothers-to-be to heal, grow, and be with those craving the same. Each week will include gentle yoga, guided meditation or visualization, intentional ceremony, and powerful conversations around pregnancy-related topics such as:

    community-building and support

    fears and shifting expectations

    nutrition

    self-care and changing self-image

    sensuality and sexuality

    celebrations and honoring the threshold

    This class is intended for the birthing person, only. Expectant people are welcome to join at any point in pregnancy. This series is recommended for anyone near the end of their first trimester of pregnancy and beyond, to benefit from the resources, connections and intentions throughout your pregnancy, birthing and beyond.

    PSI Chat With an Expert- Wednesday Chat for Moms

    During these sessions you can connect with other moms and talk with a PSI expert about resources, symptoms, options and general information about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders from the privacy of your own phone. There is no need to pre-register or give your name. These sessions, facilitated by licensed mental health professionals, are informational only and open to anyone with questions and concerns. Limited to the first 15 callers.

    PSI Online Support Group Meetings

    PSI offers over 50 (+) free and virtual support groups through the Sharewell platform. Our online groups are here to help you connect with other parents, talk about your experience, and learn about helpful tools and resources. Whether you are going through stress, adjustment to parenting, Baby Blues, pregnancy or postpartum depression/anxiety, or a survivor of postpartum psychosis, our groups are here for you. Meetings in Spanish offered! Groups are free of charge, but require pre-registration.

    PSI Specialized Support Coordinators

    SI offers understanding, education, empathy, and resource referrals to parents experiencing a wide range of situations, challenges and roles. In addition to the helpful resources shared below, we have recruited Specialized Coordinators in response to a growing number of requests from families who are eager to connect with someone who truly understands what they are facing. Some examples of specialized coordinators include parents with ADHD, Adoptive parents, Grandparents resources, Hindu parents resources, Hyperemesis Gravidarum resources, and perinatal psychosis.

    To connect with one of the Specialized Coordinators below, you are welcome to complete this form, identifying the Specialized area in which you could use support, and they will reach out to you within 1-2 US business days.

    Sidelines High Risk Pregnancy Discussion Group

    Sidelines’ Facebook Discussion Group is an informal place to ask questions on coping with a high-risk pregnancy, to learn about others who have been through complications, and a fun way to help pass the time until your baby arrives!     Traumatic Birth Stories and Support

    Moderated Private Group; TBSS is for persons who have already physically given birth and experienced birth trauma. (This could be anything that causes you to walk away from birth with shock, fear, depression, etc.) We provide a safe place to talk honestly without judgment about what you have experienced and to find the support of only those who understand.
