Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi Moms Support Group - Postpartum Support International (PSI)
This group is for anyone pregnant or postpartum (up to two years) and identifies as Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander, or Asian American. There is no definition or level of being “Asian enough.” Pregnant and postpartum moms with a biological connection to East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, or the Pacific Islands are welcome. This is a space for Asian and Pacific Islander mothers to connect, discuss their experiences, and learn helpful tools and resources. Whether you are going through stress, adjustment to parenting, baby blues, pregnancy, or postpartum depression/anxiety, our groups are here for you. This group is facilitated in English. You are not alone, and we are here to help. We do not allow group observation by students or professionals.

The Black Home Birth Initiative continues to fund Black families for home births with Black midwives. In addition, our offerings are expanding to fund Black doula support at home births, free community education, consulting, and support for Black student midwives currently in training.
This group is for anyone pregnant or postpartum (up to two years) and identifies as Black or African-American. Black Moms Breastfeeding Support Group (Facebook)
A mom-to-mom breastfeeding support group. We offer encouragement, support and evidence based information through community and friendship to help expectant and nursing moms to reach their breastfeeding goals.

Club Mom is a community health gathering for African-American women, ages 19 and up who are pregnant and/or parenting children, 0-5 years. As a member of the group, you will have the opportunity to connect with one another, enjoy dinner, and participate in helpful guest speaker presentations. Childcare is provided during the presentation hour so that you can focus on learning information such as: stress management, child-safety practices, and resources such as health insurance and healthy child development. A monthly community gathering for African-American men parenting children birth to five years old. Must be at least 18 years of age. Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health hosts the meetings which includes engaging conversations to assist fathers with life transformation and provide support in becoming better fathers and partners. DIVA (Dynamic Involved Valued African-American) Moms of St. Paul
D.I.V.A Moms (Dynamic, Involved, Valued, African-American) provides culturally reflective prenatal care support groups and introduces the many community resources available to U.S. born African-American moms. This program is run and supported by Kindra McGee, Care Navigator and Sonja Batalden, Lead Midwife. Hand to Hold – Black Mamas of the NICU Virtual Support Group
A safe space for black NICU families to come and connect through the shared experience of a NICU stay, and life after the NICU. In this space, we will discuss the differences of being black in the NICU and the common obstacles we face as black families. We will talk about the micro aggressions we face, advocating for your baby and the on going ups and downs in the NICU.
Iya Empowerment Circle at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center, Inc.
NorthPoint's Healthy Black Pregnancy program is a resource for pregnant African Americans and parents with small children. The program, for U.S. born African Americans, provides access to a culturally-focused personal care navigator and community resources to help guide families through the health care system during pregnancy. Join us for a FREE supportive and restorative yoga series designed for pregnant individuals and new parents (up to 12 months postpartum). Led by experienced yoga instructor Diceyiana Tejeda, this class focuses on improving physical strength, flexibility, and endurance for childbirth while also reducing stress and anxiety. Yoga can also help foster a deeper bond with your baby in utero. Every Wednesday | 11:30am–12:30pm, Dance Studio (Lower Level, Room 33), Sabathani Community Center. Registration required on website. Mats, blankets, water bottles, and protein bars will be provided. This class prioritizes at-risk Black individuals but is open to any pregnant person or new parent within 12 months postpartum.

Anishinaabe-led maternal child health and family wellness services to community members in northern Minnesota. Mewinzha Ondaadiziike Wiigaming is the region’s only Native provider that combines both western and traditional knowledge of health, wellness, and community into practice.

The Ashoodenim Anishinaabe program (to unite in support of the people) consists of two Cultural Home Educators that provide services to pregnant or parenting caregivers in partnership with the Minneapolis Department of Health through a Promising Practices grant. The target population is American Indian parents with children ages 0-5. The focus will be on those that are experiencing substance use disorder (SUD) including opioid use disorder or at-risk of experiencing SUDs. Services are tailored to the individual client's needs in the areas of effectively and safely parenting their children (in-home parenting) and educating parents regarding child abuse prevention.
A parenting education & assessment program for Native American parents and caregivers involved in child protection. This program provides culturally responsive services in a one on one setting. Parenting Workers meet with parents and caregivers in-home, in the community, at DIW, or virtually. To qualify for this program you must be referred by a Hennepin County child protection social worker. Women of Traditional Birthing- Div. of Indian Work Health Services
Women of Traditional Birthing (WTB) helps expectant mothers adopt healthy lifestyles that foster healthy babies by providing support for pregnant American Indian women through mentoring, education, and community outreach. WTB also helps women through mentoring, community outreach and other resources. Weekly group meetings consist of a healthy meal, childcare, transportation assistance and cultural activities.
