Parents of Multiples Resources

If you are pregnant following a loss of any kind, and need extra support, here are some options are for you, organized by area of the metro. It may be good to check a couple of different areas, to find the closest location(s) to you. If you do not see resources in your area, please scroll down the list, as there are online options listed there.

  • A support group for parents who have experienced the death of a twin or other multiple. Meets the third Tuesday of each month. For details, contact Barb Schaack at 952-854-1997 or barbschaack@yahoo.com.

  • Minnesota Valley Mothers of Multiples

    Nearly 500 MVMOM members are here to support other expecting, new, and veteran moms of multiples in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, as well as monthly family events, and Working Mom lunches. We hope you will join us as we navigate motherhood of a higher order!  Email: info@mvmom.org

    Organization for parents (current or expecting) or guardians of multiple birth children. Our goal is to provide education and support through an exchange of ideas regarding child-rearing, sibling psychology and other unique challenges facing families raising multiple birth children.   • Multiple Connections

    A club for parents (mostly mothers) of multiples (MoMs). Meets monthly (Sept-May, excluding Dec) at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights.     Our birth and postpartum doulas are trained and experienced in supporting the specific needs of the birth and postpartum time, and most of us are also certified lactation counselors, so we can provide specialized support for families choosing to breastfeed, including families with multiples.

    Led by trained PSI facilitators, our online Pregnant and Postpartum Parents of Multiples group is intended for parents of two or more babies who are gestational twins (born at the same time) OR foster/adoptive parents or caregivers with babies four months apart or less. Connecting with others who are experiencing the unique challenge of pregnancy and parenting multiples will provide parents with connection, support, and information. Parents of multiples from pregnancy up to two years postpartum are welcome. 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 11 AM. FREE, but registration required.

    PSI’s Specialized Coordinators for Parents of Multiples understand the challenges faced by parents with multiples and offer knowing support and understanding. Specialized Coordinators are volunteers who provide meaningful information and support, specific to a special topic, condition, role or experience. These volunteers can share relevant online resources that are available to anyone, but for local resources, a connection to a local Support Coordinator will be made.
