Support for Dads and Partners

Various avenues for partners and non-birthing parents to access help for when they need it, too.

  • Club Dad

    A monthly community gathering for African-American men parenting children birth to five years old. Must be at least 18 years of age. Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health hosts the meetings which includes engaging conversations to assist fathers with life transformation and provide support in becoming better fathers and partners. As a member of the group, you will have the opportunity to connect with one another, enjoy dinner and participate in helpful guest speaker presentations. Childcare is provided during the presentation hour so that you can focus on learning about various topics. Fourth Monday of each month. 5 - 7 p.m. Learn more by calling 612-500-7415.

  • Rad Dad Support Group

    This group is for dad's who are curious about being a healthier parent. There is a lack of resources for fathers and this group is a remedy for this societal let down.

  • Dad’s Support Groups

    CME support groups are for adults aged 18+ who are interested in working on some type of issue such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, and social isolation and who want to improve skills for creating and deepening relationships with others.

    At CME, our groups generally consist of high functioning professionals who are experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship stress, adjustment stress, and/or work life balance issues.

  • Lovecommadad

    An online support resource for dads who have experienced pregnancy loss, infant loss, stillbirth, created by a dad who has lived it. Request a virtual care package with supportive videos and emails.

    This program is for the partners of pregnant or postpartum (up to 18 mos) women who are looking for additional help navigating the individual and relationship challenges of parenthood. This program covers educational topics related to birth and parenthood, helps develop coping and mindfulness skills, addresses relationship changes and communication best practices, and provides general emotional support.     This is a group is a peer-to-peer support group for partners of those who experienced a traumatic birth. This group supports any partner regardless of gender, sexual orientation, marital status or other. This group is supported by the Birth & Trauma Support Center.

    Hand to Hold helps families before, during, and after a NICU stay and infant loss by providing powerful resources for the whole family, and most importantly, one-on-one mentoring from someone who has been there. Specifically, this CLOSED group will offer NICU dads a safe space to ask questions and have discussions about "everything NICU" without showing up in the regular newsfeed. Essentially this is a group FOR parents BY parents!
