Pregnancy and Postpartum Support MN (the PSI Chapter for MN) is rolling out a monthly opportunity to network with any professionals who work with clients/patients in the childbearing years. We plan to rotate the location to access as many areas as possible!
This meeting will meet at Claddagh Coffee in St. Paul and light breakfast goodies will be provided. Purchase your beverage of choice and join us for conversation about ways that we can better serve pregnant or postpartum women, parents, and those experiencing pregnancy loss.
Welcome ANY professional- not just mental health. It can be OB/GYN, nurses, doulas, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, yoga instructors, integrative professionals (chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopathic doctors), public health, government officials... anyone!! All are welcome to engage in discussion about what is needed in our communities!
PPSM is sponsoring a Perinatal Mental Health and Psychiatry Training for mental health and prescribing professionals. This training will help you to better understand perinatal mental health complications including antenatal/postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD and psychosis. The training will cover risk factors, symptoms and interventions. It is ideal for mental health professionals, psychiatric prescribers, OB/GYNs and Midwives.
Both trainings will be available- same date, same place!! Descriptions of each are below, and links for full details are also shared. Scholarships are available. Priority will be given to providers of color, and providers who serve underserved/underrepresented populations. See the link below for the scholarship application.
