Beyond the Baby Blues is a full day conference designed to educate professionals and families about mood disorders and anxiety before, during and after pregnancy. This year's conference includes a keynote presentation from Jamie Zahlaway Belsito, several breakout sessions, and a networking lunch. It will be held Thursday, June 7th at the University of Minnesota Continuing Education Center, 1890 Bufford Avenue, in Saint Paul.
Beyond the Baby Blues is put on by NAMI Minnesota, the University of Minnesota School of Social Work, and Postpartum Support Minnesota, with additional support from PrairieCare, Headway Emotional Health, Better Beginnings, HealOM, Recovering Hope Treatment Center, Hennepin County Public Health, Equal Footing, Wild Tree Psychotherapy, and Mindful Families.
4 CEUs are approved for LICSWs by the Minnesota Board of Social Work; LADCs and LPC/LPCCs by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy; and licensees under the Minnesota Board of Psychology. This activity has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing's continuing education requirements; individual licensee's may be able to bring their certificate of attendance to the board for CEU approval. Additional CEUs for LMFTs are pending.
Postpartum Support Minnesota is offering 2 scholarships to professionals or students working with expectant mothers and new parents. Ideal candidates will be working with undeserved populations. Full information and application available here.
